"MONTE ALBAN MEZCAL 750ml Both Mezcal and Tequila are made exclusively from the Agave plant, which is actually a distant cousin to the Lily. Like rosettes of upraised swords, the Agaves' long, spiked leaves point toward the sun, maturing for 8 ? 12 years. Upon harvest, the leaves are chopped away revealing the prized pineapple-like core, or pina. Although tequila is most popularly consumed in the margarita, mezcal is almost exclusively served as a shooter, with or without a lick of salt and bite of lime."
